What designer shoes kill your feet and toes?

I remember buying some nice heels and Whoo boy! Those shoes hurt like nobody's business! I learned that you must be picky, picky, picky,...even with designer shoes..and I do NOT care what celebrity designers say...it can harm your feet for life!! LOL! and you, what did YOU learn? thanks!
