7. Both. They are unisex. They are listed in men's sizes but if you are a girl you just order two sizes down. For example if you are a size 9 you get a size 7 in men's.

9. They were originally boys' basketball sneakers. These days they are marketed to both genders. I am a girl who owns a pair and they're pretty comfy, but lacking in the support that athletic shoes have these days.
