Does anyone know where to get flower girl shoes? I need white size 10 or 11. They don't have her size at Davids Bridal. I am kind of pressed for time because she needs them for her alterations fitting on Saturday. Anyone have any ideas?

Toddler dress shoes for wedding (flower girl)? Well my daughter (who will be 2 the day after the wedding), is going to be the flower girl for my friend's wedding (I'm the maid of honor =D) anyway, we bought her shoes & they are so adorable (mini versions of mine). They are the clear plastic kind with silver leafy designs on it w/rhinestones. Well the left one fits her perfectly, but the right one I couldn't get past getting her toes in them... I was like "I know this foot cant be fatter than the other one" so I got to looking at the shoes & the toe of that one is way small... like a manufactures defect... Ok heres my question: My mom said that it will stretch out by then if I work with it alot between now and then, like you know kinda gently pull on it or whatever... Do you think that it will stretch out?? Oh and the dress store where we bought if from doesn't do refunds, or exchanges... so that will really suck if they dont stretch... =(
How much should I expect to spend on my daughter being a flower girl?? A friend of ours has just asked us to have our daughter as a flower girl. She's getting married in the Pittsburgh, PA area next April. who is responsible for paying for the flower girl dresses? they have already been purchused.? My BIL is getting married to a girl whose family has more money than my BIL does or anyone in his family. When the bride to be asked to have my daughter as flower girl I told her I was honored & yes as long as things finacially were taken care of after being assured by her we agreed, then hubby asked BIL a few weeks later & he said "don't worry things are taken care of" we are paying for all traveling & lodging expenses (its far away & the rehearsal is a two day before the wedding so we need a hotel room in a expensive city for 3 nights) Now the bride to be is asking hubby & I (through emails) for money to pay for our daughters dress/shoes/hair accs. using the excuse that since they rented a house two months early that they are hard up for extra money. yeah . how do I take care of this without starting family problems (this girl is already on the bad side of most my SIL's) & I have been the one who has been sticking up for her to them since I know how she feels becoming the new SIL.
What do you think about having a flower girl and ring bearer in a wedding? What should I do about 11 year old who lies for fun and/or to get out of chores? Stepdaughter is 11. She’s been told that from now on she’s to get her clothes out the night before school b/c she has difficulties in the mornings like most kids. Last night she was watching a movie when I told her to go get her clothes ready. She argues. I say OK then go to bed right now so you will have time in the AM. She says she'll get her clothes. She pulls out the first thing she sees. A white dress she wore as a flower girl to a wedding. I've been advised by others to not debate with her over clothes/hair choices as she's old enough to decide and face feel the consequences of her choices. I say OK, find the dress shoes. She complains but finds them and resumes watching TV. Next AM she marches past the dress without blinking an eye and goes to find some clothes. She almost missed her bus. I told her that I think she knew she wasn't going to wear that dress and lied to me. She got quiet. How to prevent this behavior in the future please?

Married in less then 2 weeks and mother inlaw is inviting her family over to our house the morning of, help? I am getting married on the 28th of July, I just found out from other family members that my mother in-law has been inviting all of the out of town guest over to mine and my fiance's place befo the wedding. He will be getting ready at his buddies house where myself and my wedding party will be at ours. How do I tell her nicely that I don't want to be bothered with guests hours before my wedding, while I am getting ready? I don't even want her there, but I am making an exception cause I don't want to hurt her feelings. Stuff we purchased for wedding? We bought the flower girl's dress and shoes etc, headpiece. We also bought the ringbearer pillow and the basket (amongst a bunch of other things but anyways) I know the flower girl took off with the basket, i have the ringbearer pillow. Is it rude to ask for the basket back? I kind of wanted to keep that. :) #1. Jason had mentioned something about possibly selling it as a set as we paid 40 for both together as they matched #2. I was going to replace it with another basket we had bought before hand! I'm not trying to be petty but we mentioned we wanted to keep them and my mom even tried to take everything (including stuff that belonged to our venue which I took back as soon as I was informed that my mother took it!) hey blunt FYI it wasn't a cheapo 5 dollar basket I didn't know it was customary for the flower girl to keep the basket i was in three weddings when i was little and I had to give them back! Would you recommend a traditional church wedding or eloping? I'm 22 and have been with my fiance for close to six years. We got engaged this past fall and are planning an August 8th, 2009 wedding. So, I'm really thinking I just want to go on our honeymoon and get married then... or possibly getting married at the courthouse, or in a church with just a few people, then going on our honeymoon. I know that my fiance and I plan to take a nice honeymoon. We've never been out of the country and definitely think that a Caribbean all-inclusive resort is the way to go. This being so, our honeymoon is going to cost around $5,000. I've been planning the wedding for around a month and all the probable expenses are just crazy. $12 to rent ONE tablecloth? Shoes, dresses, flowers, decorations... and HOW much to feed all those people? We live in a small town and we would likely end up with around 250 guests, 6 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen, one flower girl, and one ring bearer. CONTINUED... It just seems like big weddings are more for the guests. Yes, I'd love the pictures and the memories. At the same time though, the memory of my fiance and I on a sandy beach exchanging vows (alone, no family or friends) is very nice as well. And we wouldn't have the debt or the stress. I just think we should possibly just try to focus our wedding money on our future home... but, at the same time, I don't want to elope and then have regrets. What do you guys think?

What do I give for a gift? The couple is not registered anywhere. They have been living together since they? started dating a little over a year ago. I have known her since I was in Jr High. I am now 26. I met him before I married my husband and we went on a couple dates. My daughter is also their flower girl, so I had to buy her a dress, shoes, pay for her hair and nails to get done. This isn't really cheap. When they asked her to be in the wedding, they said they were going to pay for everything. Now the wedding is tomorrow, and I have paid for everything for my daughter. I have kinda a limited budget, so I am not sure what I should give or how much to spend. Also tonight they had a rehearsal dinner, and didn't tell us where it was. I asked the bride after rehearsal dinner if she needed my daughter any more tonight. She said, "I will see you tomorrow." That kinda suprised me. Also, when she asked if my daughter could be in the wedding, I simply asked if my ex husband (my daughter's father whom gave my daughter up for adoption) and his wife were planning on attending (she asked if my daughter could be in it after the RSVP date). She told me that they were not invited, tonight they were at the rehearsal. They were invited to the rehearsal dinner too. Wishee ~~~ that is exactly what I thought! I was almost tempted to no go to the wedding, but it would break my daughter's heart.
Does being in a wedding really have to cost this much!? I am thrilled my sister is getting married, but so far my husband has told me that it is going to cost us about $1500!!! My 3 kids and I are going to be in it. I will be like the maidtron of honor or something like that, my oldest daughter will be a jr brides maid, my youngest daughter will be the flower girl and my son will be the ring bearer. We are going to have to spend two nights in a hotel after a 6hr drive so we have to pay that cost, plus the eating out and so on. We still have yet to buy the tux for my son, shoes, getting hair done and well it is just never ends. My sister is trying to keep the costs down for us. The tux for my son is said to be half off. Is this normal these days? My dear husband is so stressed, I'm a stay at home mom who just learned I have a bladder disorder so we are paying for pills to try to get that under control. What would be considered "semi-formal wear" for a three year old little girl? I am considering entering my daughter in a baby/toddler show in my area (Columbus, GA) and the entry form states dress is to be semi-formal... Does anyone have any ideas about what I should dress her in? I was thinking of a Spring dress with maybe a matching hat and/or bag, cute shoes. She is of Australian/African American/Native American heritage with super curly hair so I was going to to her hair with the small white flowers and just leave it out and curly (with products of course)... Don't you think this is kinda sad?? Well, today I had my 22month daughter in a pageant. All I did was put her in a nice dress (its a dress she is wearing to a wedding as flower girl in May) and some nice shoes. Her hair is naturally curly, so we just let it go natural (bc it is so beautiful like that). Also, this was her first pageant. Anyway, she got most photogenic. The queen of her age group was a little girl that will be 2 this coming Monday. Well she had fake teeth in (over her real teeth), she had hair extensions in, and full face makeup (foundation, blush, eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara... the works)... All the rest of the contestants there (like my daughter) was just in a pretty dress, and maybe had a bow in their hair. (the age group was 12-23months). I thought that was really unfair. I'm proud my daughter won most photogenic, but me (and most of the other parents there) think that little girl should not have one bc she was totally fake. If you took everything off her, except the dress she would have looked like a a normal kid just like all the other contestants... I also feel sorry for the kid bc when they announced her favorite things they said "going to pageants". plus backstage, she was still on a bottle! she was the oldest contestant n that group and the only one on a bottle (every other in that age group was all on sippys, even the youngest who just had turned a year!)... anyway, I was just curious if anyone else thought this was unfair? There were alot of beautiful toddlers there that all could have won, but no they picked the totally fake one. Yeah, I'm sure she was a beautiful little girl w/out all of that stuff on.

I need an honest opinion? Okay, my two soon to be sister in laws are driving me off my friggin head!! Is it me or are they bitches. The first one was complaining about reletives staying at her fathers home for our wedding this fall, and she said to me, why don't they stay at your f****** house, they are here to see you, (they are not staying at her house so why do she care), now the second sister is a bridesmaid in our wedding and she complains about everything from buying a dress to help with the shower. Their dresses were only $100.00 and she won't pay her portion of the cost of the shower, it would not bother me but she agreed to but when it came time to pay she refused. Also, I picked up her shoes for the wedding and her little girls flower girl dress and she won't pay me back. Oh they are driving me nuts. Should I attend my sisters wedding or finally stand up for my immediate family? My sister is getting married. We are in very different places financially and she is very snobby and stuck up and looks down on me b/c of my circumstances. She asked me to be a bridesmaid but I told her no b/c I couldnt afford the $450 dress she picked for the girls to wear. She was mad but said its ok as long as I am there on her day. Also, my daughter is the flower girl and I have already purchased her dress, shoes and accessories. Now, when the invitation arrived it was to me and my daughter but not my fiance. No one in my famiy accepts him although we have a great relationship and a beautiful little girl. where did the rule that bridesmaids pay for their own dresse's from? i have been reading several questions in this section where bridesmaids say they can not afford the dresses chosen for them and selfish brides complaining about it. its ridiculous. why should a bridesmaid pay to help you out on your big day? i am having 3 bridemaids and a flower girl and paying for all their dresses and shoes and head wear as well as paying for the best mans suit and the 2 ushers cravats and waistcoats. im on a limited budget but ive found the cravats on ebay brand new and 100% silk and just got them today and they are great and i am spending £50.00 on each bridesmaids and have found the dresses on ebay brand new. i would like to know where the rule came from that they have to pay for their own dress and does anyone else think its unfair?

Would you have fun at a mock wedding? We're getting married in a small wedding ceremony, with mostly just family, in a location far away from where we live. We're also planning to have a big reception (about a month after the wedding) with all of our friends here. I got the idea that I'd like to make part of it a "mock" wedding. I was thinking of asking people to come dressed as some member of the wedding party: bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girl, ring bearer, mother of the bride, minister, etc. I'll encourage people to be as tacky as possible. We'll take a few minutes to organize everyone and then commence with the ceremony. I plan to wear running shoes and dance down the aisle with a bouquet of large, plastic flowers. I'm not sure how the actual ceremony will go... maybe some ridiculous vows? Anyway, I think this all sounds like great fun. But, do you think anyone would be offended? Or bored? What should I do? I need another perspective!?I am getting married May 10th 08.? I asked my sister to be my Matron of Honor. I knew financially she couldnt do anything because shes on welfare but I wanted to have her by my side as well as her daughter my niece as the flower girl. I told her not to worry I would cover all that would be necessary. As far as the dress, shoes, hair, makeup, accomodations and transportation. We live in California but we are having our wedding in Las Vegas. She said she would be happy to. And so I got her dress, shoes, a condo for 4 days 3 nights. I have also got everything my niece needs as well. The whole process has been painful. Everyday or every other day she tells me she cant be in the wedding and that neither can my niece. For financial reasons. So then I cover whatever it is and then shes back in. On Monday she called to find out about the gas money for the trip. We came up with $200.00 for the roundtrip. She said $250. Refused to give an explanation for the amount or they wont be in the wedding.My fiance wants her out of wedding If i cut her out of the wedding Im going to lose her and my niece in my life. If I leave her in the wedding how much more is it going to cost or drain me emotionally. Ive spent tons on having them both in the wedding because I love them both. I feel like shes totally taking advantage of me and the situation. Shes bringing her husband for the trip and we will be paying to feed him for 4 days three nights as well but he isnt even coming to the wedding. Ive done everything i can.
what should i do? ? ? ? i feel im being selfish...? im getting married next summer. i have found the perfect bridesmaid dresses which although expensive are really beautiful. they are really sexy looking and flatter their figures and because of the price of them the shop owner agreed for the shoes to be thrown in free, which are amazing and quite high heeled. i also sorted the paige boy and flower girl dress to match my maid of honours. i thought it was all perfect and was focussing on everyone being happy and i would have the perfect photo because symetry is everything to me when it comes to photos. but now my aunt has asked me to have my older cousin as my bridesmaid (she's disabled in terms of she has learning difficulties and is like a nine year old. and although me and my aunt are close, my cousin and i never have been) my cousin would never be able to pull off the dress because of her figure, nor could she walk in the shoes. and i would feel awful saying no. but if i say yes i wont be able to have the dresses i want. i dont mean she's 9, she's 25 with the mental age of a 9 year old. it just feels like if i say no, im gonna cause a whole load of trouble and bad feelings within the family. my bridesmaids arent paying for their dresses, i am paying myself. i was left money by a friend who recently died to have the perfect wedding. they can also be altered slightly so they can be warn as a formal dress without the bridesmaid looks. my friends are worth the money as they mean the world to me and deserve it.
I need some advice on what to wear to my daughter's wedding. She is having an outdoor wedding, 2 pm.? The wedding will be in November (southeast USA). The site is the yard basically of an antebellum mansion; the reception is inside the mansion. Her dress is strapless organza over satin, beading on the bodice, full ballgown type skirt (again organza over satin with satin border and beading on the bottom on the skirt). She is wearing a diamond-look headpiece with fingertip length veil. The flower girl/jr. bridesmaids are in white organza over satin tea-length dresses. I have two choices of dresses and am undecided. Dress #1 is sea-green-aqua crepe, round neck sleeveless 2 rufflely (sp?) kind of swingy bottom (slightly below knee length) with a sheer matching jacket with sea-green-aqua pearls scattered all over the jacket (probably wearing silver shoes) or perhaps the dress without the jacket (kind of matronly looking) and just a pretty organza shawl. Dress #2 is champagne color, floor length, slightly off the shoulder short sleeves, fitted bodice (slightly below waist) with beads. straight skirt with slight drape on side at waist. I don't know which is correct, the less formal (shorter dress) or the more formal (long dress)? My daughter's dress is very pretty but no train, she is wearing diamond necklace (groom's family heirloom). His family is from "old money" and the house is their ancestral home--restored and turned into a special events location. ADream Wedding For Less- BAD PLACE OF BUSINESS? Ok brides in AZ I want to makev you aware of a bad place to buy your wedding stuff! Here is my nightmare..... I went to A dream wedding and fell in love with a dress there, I purchased not only my wedding dress but my bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dresses and tuxes from this store. My headache first started when my dress came only two weeks before my wedding (June 14th) when I was promised it would be here end of April first week of May. When my bridesmaid dresses got there my sisters was about 1 foot too long and the breast was about twice as big as her actual size. They measured her at the store. Just as I think everything is ok the tux massacre begin. When my wedding party came in for their tuxes their was a number of issues. My grooms tux was completely wrinkled and un-presentable and his shoes were not there, the best mans jacket was too small as well as his shoes not there, the grooms fathers pants were about 6-8 inches too short and the bridal store told HIM to drive down to the other location and pick up his pants. One of my ushers had received a wrong colored tie and his pants were frayed really bad at the bottom, AND not to mention the ring bearer who is 6 years old had shoes twice his size his jacket was too small and they gave him a mens size vest and tie! Upon complaining to the owner she had nothing to say other than "that's why we do a final fitting." Then came returning the tuxes. My brother who was in my wedding returned everything but the jacket, he lives in Yuma therefore unable to just drive back and give it to us. We tried reasoning with the store considering all the issues previous to this. However, they would not budge they charged my brother $199 dollars for his tux jacket! We did however get a note FROM the store stating upon receiving the jacket he would be reimbursed the full $199. To this day 6/24/08 the owner is refusing to pay back the $30 even with a written note. I will not recommend this place EVER FOR THE RECORD ALL THESE WERE WRONG AT THE FINAL FITTING! Had the bridal store done it correctly there wouldn't have been this many issues. I have rented plenty of tuxes as well as for another wedding and never had this issue before... I had nothing to do with the lack of customer service and their lack of ability to pay attention to detail and order the right stuff.
What would be considered "semi-formal wear" for a three year old little girl? I am considering entering my daughter in a baby/toddler show in my area (Columbus, GA) and the entry form states dress is to be semi-formal... Does anyone have any ideas about what I should dress her in? I was thinking of a Spring dress with maybe a matching hat and/or bag, cute shoes. She is of Australian/African American/Native American heritage with super curly hair so I was going to to her hair with the small white flowers and just leave it out and curly (with products of course)... Any ideas on what to wear or how to "wow" the judges would be great... rebound relationship lasting? my husband left me a month ago for a girl. her ex husband told me in an e-mail "she only cares when guys pay for stuff & buy her things. she is very very very superficial, trust me i've been with her for 7 years". She tells me in an e-mail "i dont take anything or any money from a man". he has maxed out his credit card on buying her expensive dinners, clothes, shoes, purses, & flowers - all in 3-4 weeks time! other than that maxed out credit card, he's broke. he's hoping our house sells super fast so he can pay his card off (assuming so he can rack it right back up on buying her stuff). I think she is simply telling him everything he wants to here, but i'm not there, so i really dont know. She's known for going from guy to guy to guy, but everyone settles down eventually, right? Can anyone tell me what this means? The weirdest dream I have ever had. It might not even mean anything... I only ever have this dream when I am really sick, but it's the same one every time. It starts out as a pixalated scene where there is a bride standing in a plain brown room. But the bride has no face. Normal toned skin (still pixilated) but no features, in a white dress. Anyway, then my focus moves to the left where there is a hole in the wall and I can see a pair of shoes scrambling to get in, like some litte kid is scared and hiding. Then it all of a sudden goes black. Not pixilated, huge black, stone walls rise up all around me and then I see a huge rock golem chaseing someone. I get a huge wave of sadness over me and can't control it. Then there is a little pixilated part where I see a house and a little girl in a tiny grass area picking a flower. The rock golem then crushes the flower and the little girl starts crying. This is where it usually ends. However! I had the dream a few weeks ago when I was sick and after that last part, it turns to real life. It's like I'm watching my self from someone elses perspective in the sky kinda. Then I see the rock golem again and it rips the roof off the house and starts murdering my family. All the while I'm lying (wherever I am actually sleeping at the time) and am screaming and crying; kind of like I'm in severe pain, but watching myself like that just makes me want to die for some reason. And yeah, thats it, then I wake up. I know it is long but I have no idea why this keeps happening. It's scary and it may not mean anything but any answer would be helpful! No cute little boy outfits they are all for little girls......your thoughts!? Im so furious!! Why is it that any where you look there are NO adorable little boy outfits? There will be rows among rows of little girl outfits but no little boys?! I looked forever for a pair of white shoes for my little boy and they all had rinestones and flowers, No matter where I went! Trying to find any holiday adorable outfit forget it! Prob. because the designers all used every bit of cloth they had for the girls! This makes me so mad, us mommys of little boys want adorable outfits for our children too so why is it that there are only little girl EVERYTHINGS and little boy nothings!! My girlfriend's friends have made comments about me, Should I feel insulted or not? I have been dating a girl for about two months. Of course, she tells her girlfriend's everything I say and do. No problems. I take it as a compliment that she is talking about me. On three different occasions (that I know) of her telling her girlfriends something about me, they have asked, "Are you sure he is not Gay." Should I be insulted by this or take it as a compliment. The three seperate occasions the subjects have been about my complimenting her on her shoes, my manscaping, some photography I took of flowers on my Myspace page, and that I cook regularly for the the two of us (and serve wine).
